Has anyone try to burn KMnO4??? I have, I put the whole 25g on top of the empty Al can, and set it on fire, then, all it does its become into a very bright flame, and then, when the fire is out, i took a look, then, all is left is some black shit, from the powders, and the Al can is gone, so, can it act like themite, and how many degree ll the Al melt??------------------ Cops~~!! Let's get out of here!

Aluminium melts at about 650 degrees C. Are you sure that the KMnO melted it and didn't react with it ?

You can't burn KMnO4, it's a oxidizer, not a fuel! And what you did was heat the aluminum can (probably with a flame with high heat) until the KMnO4 melted in and burned the aluminum to Al2O3. The reaction is hot, but not as hot as thermite.
