hi everyone
Well today i mixed some liquid parrafin with some hmtd to try and slow its burn rate.
What i did was mix in just enough parrafin to hold the hmtd together in a lump.
Next i lit it with a long piece of wood which was on fire at the end and it errupted into life. It burned really hot but not very fast. It seemed that the same energy was released but over a longer period of time.
This stuff can only be lit by a naked flame (well so far cos i only made it today)
Now has anyone made anything similar to this (slowing down a primary explosive)?

Some army field manuals tell that you can use Composition class explosives, eg C-4 as incendiaries if you just set them on fire. And in Vietnam some claymores didn't fire because ARVN soldiers had removed the explosive to burn it in their campfires.

Actually C-4 was used as a way to cook meals in the army by troops at one point (hell they still could use it) C-4 is extremely stable, when lit it will not explode just burn VERY hot.
