Cypher Frequent Poster	posted April 02, 2000 08:00 AM This is a good booby trap thats easy to do. Its used in Claymores as a booby traps but could easily be used with a squib and another explosive. Take your squib and hook one of the wires to either the positive or neg of a 9-volt battery, take the other wire and cut and strip it on both ends of both pieces you cut. take one end of one wire and connect it to the battery, take the other piece of wire and connect it to the squib, obviously make sure the two wire pieces you cut arent touching. take a wooden clothespin, open it and wrap the two remaining free ends of stripped wire around each lip of the clothes pin Dont let the clothespin close together because it will complete the circuit. stick a plastic spoon inbetween the wires and close the clothespin the spoon will prevent the wires from touching and setting off the squib, its good to have it setup in advance but tie a piece of small string, parachute cord "guts" work good to one end of the spoon (stick a small hole in the end of the spoon) and the other to a tree or something. when somebody kicks the wire it will jerk the spoon out of the clothespin and allow the wires to touch closing the circuit and setting off the squib (and whatever you have attached to the squib) Hope ya like it
Ho ju Moderator	posted April 02, 2000 01:35 PM the concept seams VERY good, do not get me wrong. i just do not agree with the materials used it seams kinda frail tehe way you describe it. Also i think a squib is diffrent from a blasting cap. it will not initiate a primary explosive. They are used in movies for small explosive effects like the violent bullet creating a hole in a shirt would be done with a squib but not a blasting cap. ------------------ -Knowledge is power, power leads to corruption, corruption is a crime, crime doesn't pay. Feticidal Fantasy Frequent Poster	posted April 05, 2000 11:55 PM Besides, that booby trap is straight from the jolly roger cookbook. Do not just copy and post that shit. Insted of a plastic spoon, a piece flimsy plastic would work better, such as a credit card. Cypher Frequent Poster	posted April 06, 2000 05:48 AM For your info thats something that was taught to me in the army. I didnt copy anything from anybody. We were taught the trip wire with 550 paracord guts and a plastic MRE spoon. Dont accuse me of stealing unless you can prove it I am adding what i know so others can learn and if it happens to be somewhere else on the internet that is not my fault. ------------------ Cypher
