I have plans for making a zippo fire a .22.
(I'm writing this from memory) what the plans say to do is take out the center piece of the lighter(the part that is filled with cotton and where the lighter fulid goes) then take out the cotton and wick. then you fill that piece with melted lead. Then where the hole for the wick is you enlarge it to the size of a little bit bigger than a .22 and drill all the way through the lead. then you are supposed to find a tube of some metal that will just fit a .22 case but not the rim.and then shove that tube in the hole that you drilled through the lead (thats your barrel).the firing mechanism goes on the case of the zippo.to make the firing mechanism you use some sort of springy flat metal(this should be as long and as wide as the bottom of the case). then drill a small hole in the tip of the metal and then put a small screw (this is you firing pin) through the hole and secure the screw with a small nut. then you file down the screw until it's a little lump.then get another piece of metal and form a sort of square "U" out of it (like this |_|) this holds the firing mechanism to the to the case.what you do is position the screw so that it will hit the rim and fire the bullet then secure the mechanism in place with the "U". you want to have the "U" as far back on the case as possible so that when you pull down the tip with the screw it will snap back up and fire the bullet. I hope this isn't too confusing

thanks for the info, but i must say pouring molten lead all over the place just dosnt seem fun. But I guess it should be worth it
