I found an interesting article about using soybean oil instead of diesel fuel in ANFO type explosives.

Go to http://www.umr.edu/~boom/soy.html .

There seems to be some advantages like no caking, long storage life, and easy availabililty of soybean oil. Anyione feel like experimenting?

Has anyone tried this yet, I'd love to hear the results. I read the article and it seems to be a plausible idea, but I don't think it'd be more powerful than ANNM.

There is no way it's going to be as powerful as AN/NM, because soybean oil doesn't offer as much energy as nitromethane does. But the idea of replacing ANFO with ANSOY seems to be a pretty good idea...

I hope I didn't imply that ANSOY is as powerful as ANNM. It's only as powerful as ANFO.

Salad oil can also be used instead of soy oil.

No. I was only adding to Foxtrot's comments.
