well your last post was helpful. when you mix up anfo you just put it in a bucket or somethin, pour in the diesel and stir it up till it's... mixed? i dunno what the stuff is like cause i haven't tried it (obviously) but wasting materials on a dud always sucks so it has been best to start out with as much info as possible i find :-) thanks for the suggestions...

the way i mix it is in a screw top container, chuck prills in, then the diesel, screw lid on and shake.. works well.

also it would want to be a pretty decent steel container to chuck a decent quantity of dirt around, as ANFO is not piss weak..

Well don't know if the project is already done or not but if some one is going to detonate ANFO, here is my two bits.

Confining any explosive will be better than use it unconfined.(everybody knows)

To blow stumps, it's good to count the quality of dirt, age of stump(rotten?) as factors.

To effectively use ANFO, a minimum mass of 5 pounds is needed.

For detonation using AP, try to use a thin
walled metal tube, diametered like a pen,
put the AP in loosely but leave no space.
(a plastic film can leaks gas before the AP
reaches detonation speed, and the space can
buffer the blast wave.)

wave. Make sure the detonator is well sealed somehow that it will only explode with shattering the tube(not poping the lid).

Please post no matter the result, people who
didn't show up after asking for explosive tips are assumed KIA
