Ok i mentioned in an earlier post that i was going to draw up the silencer i built. It works great, but you will need a lathe to make it the way it is. I used anodized seamless aluminum tubing for this. Alternate the spacers and washers, the barrel end can be adapted to fit the barrel size you have, and adusted to fit around the site. I have a heavy barrel, without a front site, so it makes it easier. The plug is press fit into the end, and has two 10-32 set screws to hold it to the barrel. Not indicated on the print are two nylon beads under the setscrews to keep them from marring the barrel. Drop in the washers and spacers, no need to secure them as the end washer holds it all together. I tig welded the end washer, dropped in all the spacers, then pressed the plug in holding it all secure. Hope this helps some of you. Its a lot different than most home made silencers, i use baffles instead of wire mesh and crap. ------------------ Knowledge is the true power, ignorance will bring your demise.
