Dude, scrap the throwing knives, their bad news =( for onew never throw a weapon of any sort at your enemy, weather it be kool, or what, they can just as easily and maybe even more accuratley throw it back at you, and secondly, you might want to add a multimetre, those things are great for seeing if an electrical current is flowing through fences, doors, sires, etc... |

DaRkDwArF, That is true...... But there good casue they dont make any sound ! And , I would not throw them in a fight unless I had 99.9% chance to hit them ! ------------------ |

you know that you only have a 50% chance of the knife actually going into the person and only a 5% chance of killing a person with the first knife =( (not including a head shot) but I've heard people can die of shock just by being hit by one knife without their knowing, pretty freaky huh, but anyway, I wouldn't trust the knives to do the job if I were you |

well you would not usea throwing knife for cutting a throat. you would use a sharp double edged knife and use the method that killer elite described a while ago. what you do is stab into there neck (stab just befor the spine, or just behind the wind pipe) and proceed to saw your way out of the neck (saw towards the wind pipe and out the fron of the neck) killer elite said this is the method tought to CIA agents at "the farm" ------------------ |

Yes, Hoju is right, you want a dagger, with a serration somewhere along it for cutting throats |

i prefer a regular blade, double edge dagger, such as the gerber mark II ------------------ |

i like the ww1 trench knifes with the skull crusher pommel (brass knuckles built into the pommel to punch with) that and a serrated knife like you mentioned would be the two knifes i would carry. one for plain old brute force the other for quite assassination ------------------ |

Well I'm by no means a scout/sniper, but I guess I'll post my 2 cents anyways. first off, to the guy that suggested the .22 for close-range hits, I would recommend against that. If you are being forced to manufacture your own suppressor or are strapped for cash, then it'll work, but it's still not preferrable. If I had a choice of a suppressed pistol, I would choose the SIG P226 in .357SIG or .45ACP. These rounds have enough punch to put _any_ mark down, and the advent of better silencers each year ensure that the weapon will be quiet. When dealing with assassinations (and firearms combat in general), the first rule of thumb is "BIGGER IS BETTER". Don't carry much extra ammunition. 1 or 2 magazines is plenty. The more ammunition you have, the slower you will move, and the more noise you will make. And when you pack that much ammo, you're preparing for a gunfight - when conducting a hit, it is not preferrable to let it degrade into a gunfight. In fact, that's the one thing you should try to avoid. You don't need alot of ammunition anyways, because you'll probably be ditching the weapon soon afterwards anyways. 12 gauge shotguns are messy, loud, and cumbersome. They are not desirable for a clean hit. (Not to mention the fact that they need to be used in extremely close quarters, and are very low capacity.) I agree with killer, plant the weapons beforehand if at all possible. While this isn't always possible (for obvious reasons), it is definitely preferable when done correctly. Anyone who's studied military caching will know. While the infinite variables of such a situation would not allow for a "set" inventory, if I had to choose my preferred weapons for such an activity, they would be: Sniping: close-range low intensity: close/medium range mid-high intensity: My love of military firearms should be quite obvious. (You'd be surprised how easy these are to acquire...) As for knives, scrap the big bowie knives and such. They're cumbersome and tend to be quite noticable. Choose a good Kershaw or Schrade lockback folder with a thumb grip for fast opening. Oh, and killer.. Lemme guess - marine scout/sniper, right? ;-) ------------------ [This message has been edited by Legion (edited May 16, 2000).] |

A MUSKET!!! HAHAHA!!! You'd be lucky to piss that guy off with a blackpowder rifle, plus their too loud, go for something enclosed more |

Heh.. Dwarf, remember how many people were killed in the 200 years before smokeless powder came into use. YOu know what they were killed with? You got it - muskets. While a black powder rifle (which is not a musket, a musket is smoothbore) is not as effective as say a Barret light 50, it'll certainly blow a guy's head off just as good as any AK-47. Only problem is, you only have one shot and they tend to produce a lot of smoke and flash signature. (However, if you were to load it with Ammonpulver, smoke and flash would not be a problem.) I actually have a few black powder pistols, they're quite effective, and just plain fun to shoot, too. ------------------ |

THANK YOU GUYS ! You guys stayed on topic ! Legion, Would you use a MP-5 ? Anyways ! I would be more of a sniper type then anything ! |

I think that the best thing to use would be a blowgun w/ poison. Silent, effective, fast, plus you would have a suppressed SIG P226 with laser sight, and MP5 to back it up. [This message has been edited by BrassMonkey (edited May 16, 2000).] |

hmmm I'm more a close ragne, mid range fighter, I think I'd use a scoped crossbow w/poision hunting tips for sniping, and a suppressed HK USP .45 for close range |
