A while back some of our members were discusing how to blow up a gas station, and after some thinking i have come up with a good idea. The device is a small tank of 100% pure oxygen gas, hand held size, not those big ones. It would be better to use a big one, but i dont know how the hell you would do that without being noticed. On the valve to this tank is a solenoid valve, with an electric timer on it. Make sure all the electrical stuff is enclosed in plastic to protect it. One simply opens the main gas storage hole and drops the device down. Set the timer for say 30 - 60 minutes. When the time is up, the device will bubble oxygen gas through the tank. This oxygen will cause the gasoline to ignite and very possibly detonate. I know this works with 55 gallon drums of gasoline but a gas storage tank is so large maybe a single oxygen tank wouldn't be enough. what do you guys think? ------------------ |

how can pure oxygen bubbled through gas ignite it? ------------------ "... always look on the positive side of things, blow things up not down" -- Ragnar Benson |

pure Oxygen + anything flammable makes a very unstable mix.. one case of note is a fighter pilots lips catching fire after rubbing vasceline into them.. good stuff this oxygen.. |

No need for an oxygen cylinder. Use concentrated hydrogen peroxide and rust or any other finely divided metal powder as a catalyst. The metal causes the peroxide to instantly breakdown into water and oxygen. Use a cylinder with a float at one end. A bubbler is attached to that end. The peroxide is poured in and a cloth bag of metal powder is attached inside the end cap. The device is turned upright only as your dropping it in. The reaction begins to generate oxygen which bubbles in a fine stream from the bubbling stone. You could also use a large thermite grenade with chemical or electronic timer. |

so fine metal powder and h202 will produce h2 gas and o2 gas? that presents excelent possabilities. ------------------ |

It will not break down into h2 and o2, but rather h2o and o. :The metal causes the peroxide to instantly breakdown into water and oxygen. Just add some napthalene or some other solvent to the mix and the vapours will present themselves.

oh alright. that still is pretty cool. does h202 brake down into h20 and 0 when bleach is added to it? if not h20 and 0 that what? ------------------ |

With all do respect to subtlty, i think this method would be a lot more fun. Hotwire a car of someone you dont like. Fill it with explosives. Then just put a brick on the gas petal near the intended gas station. Okay, so maybe its not very practicle. But i still like it. Maybe youd be better off shoving the car into the assholes houses that force everyone to keep using fossil fuels. ------------------ |

Hey, heres an idea, why not just shove a fuse up the nozzle of the pump? Then just tape the fuse to the nozzle, drive off letting the fuse trail with a reel, and light the fuse! ------------------ |

yeah but would there be enough oxygen in the big tank of gas to produce the explosion that you were suggesting? i do not think there is but i could be worng. ------------------ -The eagle may soar but the weasle does not get sucked into jet engines. -The beatings will continue until morale improves. |
