Yes, it's true, you can, in fact, use your hose as a rocket launcher. It's a very simple hydralic powered weapon, that is so easy I thought it should be listed. How do you do it? Take a peice of PVC pipe, a the thin kind that fits perfectly into a soda bottle, either 2 liter or 12 oz, cut it to a lenght between 6 and 14 inches, whatever you feel like, get a little joiner peice that fits over your pipe on one side, but on the other gets skinny and has screw threads. The screw threads should be the right size to screw into the end of your hose. Screw in your pipe, then go find a 12 oz bottle (small rocket) or 2 litter bottle (The Big One). Slite the pipe inside the bottle and hold it tight. Then turn on the water. Hold the bottle on untill you can't anymore, then let go quickly, while pointing it in the right direction. The bottle will go between 20 and 100 feet, and since it's full of water, which is heavy, will hurt a lot if it hits someone. You can also add fins, nose cone, etc to your rocket, although a plain bottle is perfectly funtional. You can also build a launch pad so you dont' have to hold it, and use friction to hold the bottle in place. Anyway, it's fun to shoot it over someone so water comes out the back and soaks them. Each bottle rocket is reuseable for about 10 times, then they start to fall apart. If you get lucky, it might explode completely, which can be pretty cool looking if you fire directly at a solid wall. Be carefull to hold the rocket away from your body or you will be wet wet wet. Unlike other weapons, there isn't really much danger in this one as long as you don't aim at someone. If you find that the bottle is too lose on the pipe, you can rub dirt on the pipe, which usually tends to make the rocket stick.

It actually works a lot better, if you fill the bottle half full with water, then pressurize it! Once pressurized, release the rocket and the air pressure above the water, pushes the water out with great force - in turn launching the rocket.

Check out the water/air rocket I made:

Approximately 66% or 2/3 of water was optimum for these types of rockets I remember.
and with fins and a nose cone if the nose con is centered the fins flat and the edges smooth u can get several hundred feet in distance if shot at about 30 degrees and 35 psi, with little or no wind.

Cool. I kinda thought that if you had it all the way full of air then presurized then it would go farther because of more air in the same area... but I guess you can't compress it that much. Thanx for the tips guys, I can't wait to shoot my little brother > j/k.

You could pressurize them to 150 psi but thats the max pressure.
