In relation to the size of a combustion gun chamber, which would be most effective -
a small diameter long tube or a large diameter short tube of the same capacity.
My theory suggests a long thin one, but can anyone contest this?

It all depends on your blast chamber and what you are using to propell the spud on most of my guns i have the barrel just a bit longer then my blast chamer that is on my combustion
and it works fine i got a little 3 in chamber and 1 and 1/2 in barrel to shoot over clear over 200 yards with some modifafcations. some say that you barrel should be close to x2 of the blast chamber but i found that it makes not much of a differnce i can hit a 4 in target from about maybe 4 yards with mine.

Oh yeah i have a nice home-made scope on mine > witch only cost be about 3 bucks.

I too think a longer barrel isnt needed, the density of aerosole isnt enough to warrant it.

In my theory a thinner longer chamber should give lower pressure for same velocity, or of course higher velocity with same pressure. also the smaller the end cap the stronger.

scope wouldnt happen to be the same as mine would it?

A single crosshair wont be accurate, you need a sighting plane..
The rear sight in mine is 2"x1' PVC with the clear plastic horizontal crosshair ( the pipe you get with a can of WD40) on the back and vertical on front.
aiming is done by lining the two marks on back with the vertical, than horizontal is lined up with the desired range. Its not as difficult as it sounds...really.
