I know it's not bombs and poisons, but lockpicks are very handy for getting the supplies to make them. Here is the least expensive source of lockpicks I've found yet on the net. Go to http://www.telepath.com/pillar/catalog.html . Only $10 for a 4 piece set. I used to have a ten piece set, but I only ever really used 1, the lifter pick. So this set will be more than enough for you to start with.

nbk, what is a lifter pick? I am interested in lockpicking but have never been able to aquire tools more common that a tiny screw driver and a paperclip. Is a lifter pick easier to pick a door's lock with (not a dead bolt)

A lifter pick is shaped like a finger that's held straight with just the tip curled up. It's used to lift the pins in a lock, one at a time, up to the shear line. If you want to learn the basics, use hotbot or some other search engine and type in "mit" and "lockpicking". Your looking for the M.I.T. guide to Lockpicking. It will explain the basics about locks and how to pick them. Unless I'm coming across as holier than thou.

If anyone wants a 12 page booklet (zipped JPEGs) about locks and lockpicking, just e-mail me at "nbk2k@yahoo.com". Don't post your e-mail address and ask me for it 'cause your not going to get it unless you e-mail me.

Paper clips are extremely weak. If u want to make your own use "piano wire" available from hobby shops.

Use a piece of steel packing strap that you can find in the trash at stores that get things in crates.
